The Lions Mane
Jellyfish is the largest jellyfish in the world. They have been swimming in
arctic waters since before the dinosaurs(over 650 million years ago)
and are among some of the oldest surviving species in the world.
The largest can come in at about 6 meters and has tentacles over 50 meters long. Pretty amazing when you think these things have been swimming around for so long. A coldwater species, this jellyfish cannot cope with warmer waters.
Lion's mane jellyfish have four different stages in their year-long life span: a larval stage, a polyp stage, an ephyrae stage and the medusa stage

กมัน อาศัยอยู่ทางทวีปอาร์กติก ซึ่งสายพันธุ์นี้มีอายุเก่าแก่ถึง 650 ล้านปี ตั้งแต่ยุคไดโนเสาเลยทีเดียว ซึ่งพวกมันจัดเป็นสิ่งมีชีวิตโบราณที่สุดในโลกที่ยังอยู่รอดจนถึงปัจจุบัน ขนาดอยู่ที่ 6 เมตรและมีหนวดพิษยาวถึง 50 เมตร มันเป็นเรื่องประหลาดถ้าคุณจะคิดว่ามีสิ่งมีชีวิตชนิดนี้ว่ายน้ำอยู่รอบๆคุณ มานานแสนนาน มันเป็นสัตว์น้ำเย็นไม่สามารถมีชีวิตรอดได้ในน้ำอุ่น มันล่าเหยื่อโดยการใช้หนวดทิ่มแทงเหยื่อที่ว่ายน้ำผ่านไปมา แล้วลากเข้าปากอย่างเอร็ดอร่อยสไตล์แมงกระพรุน
